Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY born on the 17th of March, 1988. She's known as Grimes. Her first work has been described as going from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. [4] She's also taken influence from electronic music, hip hop, and rock. She frequently incorporates science fiction and feminist themes throughout her songs. The singer has recorded five albums. Grimes was born in Vancouver but moved to Montreal at the age of 2000. Grimes started releasing her songs as a solo artist from the mid 2000s. The albums released were by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. After contracting with 4AD, she rose in popularity thanks to Visions the third studio album. Visions is comprised of the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion" The album was also nominated for the Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in 2015. Many publications called it the most successful album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album. Grimes, who is also an actor as well as a judge for Alter Ego's musical competitions performed as an actress as part of Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020.
